“Doesn’t it seem to you,” asked Madame Bovary, “that the mind moves more freely in the presence of that boundless expanse, that the sight of it elevates the soul and gives rise to thoughts of the infinite and the ideal?”
― Gustave Flaubert, Madame Bovary

I live with my family in sunny California. I write stories, poems, and articles. This blog is my kvetching forum and muse. It is about life, living, and I’m excited that you are here! Some dialogue and perspectives will give this space a Humanities slant in the inquiry and analysis of meaning, the good life, and good works.

WYSIWYG aptly describes me. I have a sense of purpose constantly revived by fortuity. Decisions take us places – sometimes to a perplexing maze and other times to a place where our assignment makes sense and it fits like a once-missing puzzle piece, hence this blog.

I am a mom and a dreamer with faith as little as a mustard seed. My poems, stories, and songs mark my journey because we all need signposts towards improbable visions and ideals. We need each other as reminders that we do not travel alone. We are here for something more than the profane and strive because we were created for good. And good, works.
